LLC T20 2022: Mitchell Johnson fined and warned for ugly on-field spat with Yusuf Pathan

Mitchell Johnson's on-field spat with Yusuf Pathan | TwitterFormer Australia pacer Mitchell Johnson, who is playing for India Capitals in the ongoing Legends League Cricket, has been reprimanded for involving in a heated argument with Bhilwara Kings’ Yusuf Pathan.

After a thorough investigation of the incident, Johnson has been handed a warning and docked 50 percent of his match fees.

Legends League Cricket Commissioner Ravi Shastri was part of the disciplinary committee that decided to penalize the bowler besides giving him an official warning.

The incident took place on Sunday (October 2) during the qualifier match between India Capitals and Bhilwara Kings in Jodhpur, where Johnson got engaged in a verbal exchange with Yusuf and was seen pushing the latter away before the umpires intervened.

The ugly on-field spat between Mitchell Johnson and Yusuf Pathan went viral on social media. For his antics, the ex-Australia fast bowler garnered criticism from the fans and former cricketers alike.

Interestingly, India Capitals and Bhilwara Kings will now lock horns with each other in the final of the Legends League Cricket at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur on Wednesday (October 5).
