Former Indian captain MS Dhoni entertained his fans with his witty answers during his rare public appearance at an event in Mumbai on Thursday (September 23).
During the event, Dhoni was asked how he would have approached a hypothetical situation wherein he would have to run between the wickets with former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq.
Well, the Indian cricket legend came up with a hilarious answer, as Inzamam was known to be an extremely slow runner, while Dhoni is widely regarded as the quickest on the 22 yards.
However, India’s most successful captain highlighted how it is important to understand the strengths and weaknesses of one's teammates, referring to the prospect of running between the wickets with Inzamam.
MS Dhoni was quoted saying by India Today in a LivFast event: “If I am running with Inzy Bhai, it's important that I reduce my speed. If I don't reduce my speed. then run-out was going to happen 100 percent.”
Dhoni also opened up about the shortest team meeting of his career at the event.
Recalling the shortest team meeting of his career, the former skipper said: “Our shortest team meeting ever was at CSK. IT was actually -1 minute. You can debate as to how you can have a meeting for -1 minute. The meeting was scheduled for 5:30 pm.”
He added, “All the players, support staff and everyone, we got together by 5:28. Then we said 'everyone has come, let's start the meeting'. By 5:29 pm, the meeting was over. 5:30 we left. So it was -1 minute.”
