Madhya Pradesh’s left-arm wrist spinner Kumar Kartikeya finally met his family after nine years and three months, and shared a picture with his mother on his social media handle to express his happiness.

The 24-year-old was supposed to return home after the Indian Premier League 2022 (IPL 2022), where he represented Mumbai Indians (MI), but he ended up playing in the Ranji Trophy 2022 for Madhya Pradesh, so he had to wait a long time to see his family.

Earlier, the cricketer had revealed that he wanted to go home after achieving something, and he finally managed to make his family proud. Kartikeya made his IPL debut in 2022 season and also won the Ranji Trophy title with Madhya Pradesh state team before meeting his family.

Notably, Kartikeya made his IPL 2022 debut for MI against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on April 30, and went on to play four matches, wherein he snared five wickets at an economy rate of 7.85.

The leg-spinner picked up five wickets, including a four-wicket haul in the second innings, in the final of the Ranji Trophy 2022 to help MP win their maiden title.
