Rajasthan Royals (RR) cricketers Jimmy Neesham and Shimron Hetmyer were engaged in funny banter on Twitter. The Kiwi all-rounder is known for his witty online engagements and it was no surprise that he was the one who started it.
ESPNCricinfo tweeted a list of batters with the best strike rate in death overs in T20s since the start of IPL 2022. It featured Tim David, Neesham, Dinesh Karthik and Hetmyer.
Reacting to it, Neesham poked fun at the West Indies batter and tweeted “I see you Hetmyer”. Notably, the all-rounder is second on the list with a strike rate of 220.45 while Hetmyer was positioned fifth with 205.66.
Hetmyer also joined the fun and had a funny reaction to Neesham's tweet. He wrote: “I’m getting there.”
Things got interesting when their IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals (RR) also chipped in and came out with a hilarious reaction. They posted a picture of their coach Kumar Sangakkara, with the text “you're doing amazing sweetie” written on it.
Talking about their performance in IPL, Hetmyer was the backbone of Rajasthan Royals (RR). The southpaw amassed 314 runs from 15 matches with a strike rate of 153.92. Neesham, on the other hand, got just two opportunities, scoring just 31 runs at a strike rate of 114.81.
