Rohit, Kohli drop one place each in ICC ODI batting rankings, Bumrah slips to 2nd spot in bowling chart

Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya also made significant gains after the ODI series against England.

Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah | GettyIndia skipper Rohit Sharma and veteran batter Virat Kohli moved one place down, while pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah lost the numero uno position in the latest ICC ODI rankings on Wednesday (July 20).

The updated rankings took into account the last two ODIs between India and England at Lord’s and Old Trafford, respectively.

Bumrah's absence from the third ODI helped New Zealand pacer Trent Boult to reclaim the top spot in the list for bowlers.

On the other hand, wrist-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal jumped four places to 16th in the rankings for bowlers and Hardik Pandya leapfrogged 13 places to eighth on the list for all-rounders.

Chahal claimed seven wickets during the ODI series against England while Pandya produced an all-round show, returning with six scalps and a total of 100 runs.

South Africa’s Rassie van der Dussen slammed his third ODI century at Chester-le-Street against England on Tuesday (July 19) and as a result, he jumped three places to third overall on the batter rankings.

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam continues to lead the ODI batting chat, with India duo Kohli (fourth) and Rohit (fifth) and Proteas opener Quinton de Kock (sixth) all dropping a spot due to van der Dussen's rise.

India wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, who played a match-winning knock of 125* in the series-deciding third ODI against England, was rewarded a rise of 25 spots to 52nd on the list for batters.
