The ongoing second Test between England and New Zealand is taking place at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. After suffering a loss in the first game, the visitors made a great comeback and dominated Day 1 of the match.

Asked to bat first, New Zealand ended the first day with a score of 318/4. Daryl Mitchell, who scored a staggering ton in the first game, continued his rich form and remained unbeaten at 81 at stumps.

Not only did he just defend the ball well, but he also punished the bad balls and smashed eight boundaries and two sixes during his innings. One of the maximums that he hit landed straight in a fan's glass of beer. The incident took place during the 59th over of the innings when Mitchell tonked Jack Leach for a six over long-on.

It was later revealed that New Zealand provided the fan with the replacement pint. Barmy Army, who is considered as the 12th man of England’s cricket team, confirmed the same with the picture of the fan on their Twitter account.

After the end of the day’s play, Mitchell also went to apologise to the fan, Susan, for the same.
