India's Test series victory over Australia in 2020-21 will go down in cricket history as one of the greatest comebacks by any team in a bilateral series.

After a humiliating 36 all-out resulted in a deflating loss in the first Test in Adelaide, the size and scale of the task that the Indian team faced were enormous, and in many ways as difficult as what Sourav Ganguly's team faced at the Gardens in 2001.

India eventually overcame Australia 2-1 to win its second consecutive Test series on Australian soil, riding the brilliance of a youthful team.

Off-spinner R Ashwin was one of the seasoned campaigners who was part of the team and played a key role in the victory.

Recently, Ashwin was among a group of players that discussed the historic series ahead of the premiere of Voot's 'Bandon Mein Tha Dum,' a web series that depicts the tale of India's triumph over all odds.

Ashwin told the account of a terrifying flight from Melbourne to Sydney that got trapped in a rainstorm while speaking to the media.

"We were flying to Sydney and the flight encountered a thunderstorm. It was so scary that for a moment, I thought that the flight would never land," Ashwin recalled at the trailer launch of the series.

In fact, Ashwin had tweeted about the flight at the time.

The off-spinner was India's second-highest wicket-taker in the series after Mohammed Siraj, and he also played a significant role in helping India rescue the Sydney Test with the bat on the final day with Hanuma Vihari to gain a draw for the team.
