Harbhajan Singh was shocked after learning of the sudden demise of former Australian all-rounder, Andrew Symonds, in a car crash on Saturday night, May 14.
As per reports from Queensland Police, Symonds was involved in a single-person crash after his car rolled off the side of the road, about 50 kilometers outside Townsville on Saturday night.
In a statement, Queensland Police stated that they were investigating the single-car crash on Hervey Range Road. Early information indicates that shortly after 11 p.m., the car was being driven on Hervey Range Road, near the Alice River Bridge when it left the roadway and rolled. Emergency services attempted to revive the 46-year-old driver and sole occupant; however, he died of his injuries.

Ever since the tragic news broke out, cricketers around the world have been paying tribute to one of the best all-rounders in the game, and now Harbhajan Singh has joined the long list.
Harbhajan Singh tweeted: “Shocked to hear about the sudden demise of Andrew Symonds. Gone too soon. Heartfelt condolences to the family and friends. Prayers for the departed soul #RIPSymonds.”
Though the two were involved in one of the most talked about scandals in cricket history, the monkeygate, Harbhajan and Symonds played together for Mumbai indians in the IPL afterwards.
Another former Mumbai indians and Deccan Chargers teammate of Symonds, Rohit Sharma, took to Twitter and paid his respects for the Australian all-rounder.
He tweeted: "To my good friend and teammate, we have so many memories together. As a young player, I learnt a fair bit alongside you. You were always so great to be around, In shock and gutted. RIP Symmo"
