Deepak Chahar suffered a back injury while rehabbing in NCA for his quad tear | GettyIndia and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) pacer Deepak Chahar received some very bad news as the scans of his back injury have revealed that his injury was more serious than it was thought of.

The fast bowler had been in great form for the Indian team with both the bat and the ball but suffered a quad tear during the T20I series against the West Indies earlier this year. This resulted in him going to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) for rehab.

However, during his rehab, Chahar was expected to be back playing in the IPL 2022 from May onwards. But later it was reported that Chahar had suffered a back injury during his rehab, which ruled him out of the entire IPL 2022 tournament, a big blow to CSK, who won their first match after losing four in a row.

Chahar was sent for back scans and as per the Times of India report,  the results are pretty negative. The scans showed that Deepak Chahar will be out of action for four months and will not only miss the IPL 2022, but also the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 which will be played in Australia in October and November.
