Earlier this year, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja had come up with an idea for a four-nation T20I Super Series.
Ramiz had tweeted that he would be making a proposal to the International Cricket Council (ICC) about the tournament, involving India, Pakistan, England, and Australia.
Even though the BCCI hasn’t entertained the idea, Ramiz is keen to discuss his proposal with BCCI president Sourav Ganguly during the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) meeting in Dubai on March 19.
"I will talk to Sourav Ganguly about it when we meet for the ACC meeting in Dubai. Both of us are former captains and players and for us cricket is not about politics," Ramiz told reporters at the national stadium in Karachi on Tuesday (March 15).
"Even if India does not go with us on this proposal, we will think about launching an annual three-nation event with Australia and England in Pakistan," he added.
Ramiz Raja also expressed confidence that India would travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup next year.
"I think they will come and if they don't travel to Pakistan we will see what can be done," he said.
Last month, BCCI secretary Jay Shah had played down the chances of a quadrangular series, saying the interests of the chief of cricket bodies across the globe should be on expanding the game of cricket rather than focusing on "short-term commercial initiatives".
