Pakistani batter Azhar Ali made a huge blunder on day four of the ongoing second Test match against Australia in Karachi. Australia declared their second innings on 97/2, setting Pakistan a target of 506 runs to win the Test match.
In their second innings, Pakistan lost two wickets with Imam Ul Haq falling to Nathan Lyon for 1 and Azhar Ali being dismissed by Cameron Green for 6 runs.
It was the dismissal of Azhar Ali, which has gotten him some criticism from fans, as he was given out LBW despite the ball hitting his gloves and he failed to ask for a DRS review before the stipulated time ran out.
It all happened on the second delivery of the 23rd over that Ali was undone by the low bounce on a Cameron Green short delivery. Having ducked for cover, Ali ended up getting hit on his thigh as the Australians appealed in unison for an lbw dismissal.

Umpire Ahsan Raza was quick to raise his finger and send Azhar back to the pavilion. The former Pakistan captain began discussing the DRS review with non-striker Abdullah Shafique, but it took them long enough for the 15 seconds to run out before Azhar could opt for the referral.
Replays showed that while the ball would have thudded into the stumps, a startling revelation had come in the form of the ball glancing off Ali’s gloves before hitting his thigh pad. A dejected Ali walked back to the pavilion after scoring 6 (54) as the hosts were reduced to 21-2 in a mammoth 506-run chase.
