India’s new all-format captain, Rohit Sharma, will be felicitated by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) for becoming the Indian cricket team captain in all three formats of the game.

The veteran opener was handed over the reins of India’s limited-overs side last year, and most recently, he was also appointed India’s Test captain after Virat Kohli stepped down from the role in January.

He will lead Team India for the very first time in Test cricket in the upcoming two-match Test series against Sri Lanka next month after the Chetan Sharma-led selection panel made him the new captain.
