Kevin Pietersen loses his PAN card, asks for help; Income Tax department respond quickly

Pietersen tweeted in Hindi and English, tagging Indian PM Narendra Modi as well.

Kevin Pietersen | GettyFormer England cricketer Kevin Pietersen recently took to Twitter and requested help from netizens after he lost his Permanent Account Number (PAN) card, which is required for financial and tax purposes in India.   

Pietersen, who retired from international cricket in 2014, played 104 Tests, 136 ODIs and 37 T20Is for England after making his Test debut in the Ashes 2005. He made 8181 runs in Tests with 23 centuries, 4440 runs in ODIs with 9 centuries and 1176 runs in T20Is with 7 half-centuries to his name.

Meanwhile, taking to Twitter, Kevin Pietersen posted a message asking for help after losing his PAN card and needing it in India when he arrives for work. He posted the message in both English and Hindi. He also tagged Indian PM Narendra Modi in his tweets.

“INDIA PLEASE HELP I’ve misplaced my PAN card & travelling Mon to India but need the physical card for work. Can some PLEASE PLEASE direct me to someone who I can contact asap to help me?,” he posted.

The official Twitter account of Indian Income Tax department sprung into action and provided necessary help.
