Former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh has named his favorite all-format batter and bowler. He picked both the players from the Indian cricket team and said they are currently on a 'different level'.
Speaking on Sports Today, Harbhajan said Rohit Sharma, the newly appointed limited-overs captain is his favorite batter in world cricket. He said Virat Kohli and KL Rahul are equally good, but Rohit edges over them.
"Favourite batsman: Rohit Sharma. Whether T20, one-day cricket, Test cricket, when Rohit is batting, he is unbelievable. He has got so much of time, he makes batting look very, very easy," he said.
"I think Rohit is probably the best batsman in world cricket, with all due respect to others like Virat Kohli and KL Rahul. They are equally good as well but when Rohit plays, he is at a different level altogether. So Rohit is my favorite batsman," he added.
Naming his favorite bowler, Harbhajan went ahead with Jasprit Bumrah. He finds him a 'top-class' bowler across all the formats currently.
"Coming to bowlers, Jasprit Bumrah I think is a class apart. Whether we talk about T20s, one-dayers, or Test cricket, Jasprit Bumrah is a top-class bowler. These are my two favorite players," he further said.
Rohit is returning to the team after recovering from an injury, which made him miss the South Africa tour. He will be leading the side against West Indies at home in the ODI and T20I series.
