Chris Morris announces retirement from all forms of cricket

Chris Morris represented South Africa in 4 Tests, 42 ODIs, and 23 T20Is.

Chris Morris | GettySouth Africa all-rounder Chris Morris on Tuesday (January 11) announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.

Taking to Instagram, Morris confirmed his decision and he also revealed that he will be taking up a "coaching role" with the Titans.

"Today I announce my retirement from all forms of cricket! Thanks to all who have played a part in my journey whether it be big or small…it's been a fun ride! Delighted to be taking up a coaching role at Titans," Morris wrote on his Instagram account.

After making his international debut in 2012, Chris Morris represented South Africa in 4 Tests, 42 ODIs, and 23 T20Is. He scored 773 runs and picked up 94 wickets across the three formats.

Morris also featured in 81 IPL matches, scoring 618 runs and taking 95 scalps. He played for four different franchises, Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals, and Rajasthan Royals, in the cash-rich tournament.
