Jamaican sprinter and eight-time Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt is eyeing a career in cricket as he is eager to play in the T20 leagues like his fellow Jamaican cricket superstars Chris Gayle and Andre Russell.

It seems that Bolt’s ambition to play T20 cricket will come true soon, as the fastest man on earth has been approached by a private sports news channel – Power Sportz – to be part of a T20 League likely to be hosted in the Middle East soon.

Kanthi D Suresh, the Founder, and Editor-in-Chief of Power Sportz, who are the rights holders of the league, hasn’t yet confirmed the venue, but it is being said that it could be held in the Gulf.

Bolt has often admitted that cricket was always his "first love," but he took up track and field as a career option to fulfill his father's wish.

With the T20 leagues growing everywhere in the world, Bolt has expressed his interest in committing to cricket, having retired from the track.

Well, it won’t be easy for the Jamaican legend to secure a place alongside the international cricketer, but it would be interesting to see whether he would prefer to be a batter or a bowler.

However, given his long strides, Bolt could make a great fast bowler as well as a valuable batter because of his strength to clout sixes when taking the cricket field.

Notably, the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) has already made a big splash about a T20 league, and now it is being said that there could be a cricket league in Qatar.
