Rohit Sharma is captaining the Indians in the practice game | BCCI TwitterThe Indian team is currently engaged in their only practice game against a County Select XI at the Riverside Emirates ground in Durham (Chester-Le-Street). This is a three-day game which will end on 22nd July and Indians won the toss and decided to bat first.

Interestingly, Rohit Sharma came out to captain the Indians team, which also saw the team management resting the likes of Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, R Ashwin, Ishant Sharma, and Mohammad Shami.

But the oddest thing about the match, which has a First-Class status is that two of the Indian players are turning out for the opposition team. Washington Sundar and Avesh Khan have been included in the County Select XI team. Avesh even opened the bowling with Craig Miles.
