Sachin Tendulkar voted as 'Greatest Men's Test Batsman' of 21st century by commentators and fans

Tendulkar has 15921 runs and 51 centuries to his name in the longest format of the game.

The Star Sports commentary team included VVS Laxman, Irfan Pathan, Aakash Chopra among others.

In a video released by Star Sports on Twitter, former India opener-turned-commentator Sunil Gavaskar said: "This was a really tight one. Both Kumar Sangakkara and Sachin Tendulkar are icons of the game but the winner of the award is my fellow Mumbaikar Sachin Tendulkar."

In a career spanning 24 years, Tendulkar played 200 Tests and 463 ODIs for India, scoring the world record number of runs (15921 in Tests and 18426 in ODIs) and centuries (51 in Tests and 49 in ODIs).

Tendulkar also holds the record for most runs, centuries, fifties in ICC Cricket World Cup and is the most capped player in Tests and ODIs.

On the other hand, Sri Lankan legend Sangakkara has 27000+ international runs to his name, including 63 centuries.
