Rashid Khan is currently playing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021 in Abu Dhabi for Lahore Qalandars. The ace Afghanistan spinner has already made his name in the tournament with both bat and ball.

The 22-year-old played an important cameo with the bat against Islamabad United, hitting 15 off just 5 balls in the last over of the second innings to ensure victory for the side and then later in the match against Peshawar Zalmi registered his career-best figures in franchise T20 cricket, taking 5-20.

In an interaction with Cricket Pakistan YouTube channel, premier Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan revealed that before the match he watches the videos of the batsmen he is going to bowl to find out their weakness.

Rashid Khan explains why Virat Kohli is a very successful batsman; wants to play under MS Dhoni

“I take time out to watch videos of all the batsmen I will be bowling to in a match to find out their weaknesses and use that during the match, ” Rashid Khan said on Cricket Pakistan YouTube channel.

Lahore Qalandars will soon face Karachi Kings in an important match in the ongoing PSL 2021. The 22-year-old will be seen going neck to neck against Pakistan skipper Babar Azam.

While talking about the match, Khan said that he will try to bowl good line and length in the match. He while lauding Babar Azam said that he will bowl to his strengths to get rid of the right-hand batter.

“I will try to bowl at a good line and length, keep things simple and enjoy the match. Babar is a world-class player but I always assess my strengths first and bowl accordingly and that is why I make it a point to videos of batsmen,” he said.

Khan said that it’s difficult to choose between Virat Kohli, Babar Azam and Kane Williamson as all three of them are world-class players. He added that the trio has their process of starting and finishing their innings which he likes about them.

“In my opinion, it’s quite difficult (to say who the best is) but no doubt, Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson, and Babar Azam are world-class players. These are the kind of players who know their limits and shots. They have a process to start and finish their innings, which is something I really like about them,” he said.

"To get those three names bowled is a tough job as a spinner," Rashid Khan names three memorable wickets in T20s

When asked about choosing between IPL and PSL, Rashid Khan avoided making any comparisons between the leagues pointing out that while he had been playing in the IPL for long, he had only started playing in the PSL.

“I have only played three of four matches (in PSL) as compared to IPL where I have been playing for five years. I will be in a better position to say something when I play more matches of the PSL at different grounds and in the presence of a crowd,” he concluded.
