PSL 2021: Chris Gayle and Rashid Khan both leave PSL for national duty
Qalandars had earlier named Shakib al Hasan as a replacement for Rashid Khan after he went for national duty to play against Zimbabwe. But the former has now pulled out of the tournament.
Talking about rejoining the franchise, Rashid Khan said that he is excited to be back and is hopeful to help them continue with the momentum.
"I am excited to be back with PSL and Lahore Qalandars. I had a couple of good games with them earlier and the team went off to a good start, I am hopeful to help them continue with the momentum,” Rashid Khan said
After the completion of PSL, Rashid Khan will play for Sussex in the T20 Blast and will fly to the United Kingdom. Talking about the same, he said that he’s very fortunate to play high-level cricket during tough times.
"I am looking forward to joining up with my teammates at Sussex upon completion of the PSL. Whilst the travel restrictions in place have been a big factor in delaying my arrival, it is fortunate I am still able to play some high-level cricket before heading to Hove later in June,” he said.
The T20 Blast will kick start on June 9 and Sussex will play their opening game on June 11.
