Multan Sultans sign Shimron Hetmyer for second leg of PSL 2021

The second leg of PSL 2021 will be played in Abu Dhabi next month.

 Shimron Hetmyer | GettyWest Indian batsmen Shimron Hetmyer and Johnson Charles were submitted as replacement picks by Multan Sultans on Saturday (May 22) for the second leg of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021.

While Hetmyer will be making his PSL debut, Charles has previously turned up for Quetta Gladiators as well as the Sultans.

The remainder of the PSL 2021 season will be held in Abu Dhabi next month and it was decided that all teams will be allowed 20-member squads and the franchises submitted a total of 12 picks, which included replacement as well as the 19th and 20th player submissions for some of the teams.

Islamabad United, Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars have not made selections for their 20th player which they will make later, if required.

Apart from Hetmyer and Charles, Sultans also picked Hammad Azam and Muhammad Waseem (UAE).

Quetta Gladiators roped in Jack Wildermuth (Australia), Jake Weatherald (Australia), Zahir Khan (Afghanistan) and Khurram Shehzad.

Lahore Qalandars chose Tim David (Singapore) and Sultan Ahmed (UAE) as their picks while Islamabad United added Mohammad Akhlaq, Peshawar Zalmi added Bismillah Khan and Karachi Kings added Mohammad Haris Khan to their respective squads.
