Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batsman Sheldon Jackson lost his aunt on Monday (May 3) due to COVID-19. He posted a tweet on the micro-blogging site to share the news.
Jackson wrote that her aunt was very happy when he got picked to play for KKR and he will continue with the IPL 2021. He thanked everyone who came forward to help and save her life in any way.

“I have lost my aunt this evening. She was the happiest when I got picked by KKR this season, and so I will continue with the team. I thank everyone who offered us help in the darkest hour, in every possible way, to try and save her. May God be with everyone, may she rest in peace,” he tweeted.
Jackson had asked for an ICU bed for his ailing aunt in Bhavnagar. BCCI secretary Jay Shah had assured him of all the medical assistance for his aunt. But unfortunately, she lost the fight against COVID-19.
"Very grateful to you sir @JayShah for your assurance to take care of my aunties medical needs ???? i also Thank all my senior cricketers and journalists who helped me in spreading the word so fast ????," he had tweeted on April 30.
