Afghanistan's Asghar Afghan on Saturday (March 20) created history as he surpassed former India skipper MS Dhoni to become the most successful captain in T20 Internationals.
He achieved the feat after leading Afghanistan to 47-run victory over Zimbabwe in the third T20I at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
Afghan has now registered 42 wins in the shortest format and has overtaken Dhoni's tally of 41 victories. He had equalled Dhoni's record of most wins after guiding Afghanistan to 45-run victory in the second T20I against Zimbabwe.
Dhoni had led India to 41 wins in 72 matches with a winning percentage of 59.28. On the other hand, Asghar Afghan has so far led Afghanistan to 42 wins from 52 games and has a winning percentage of above 80.
England skipper Eoin Morgan features in the list on the third spot with 33 wins while Pakistan's Sarfaraz Ahmed is at the fourth position with 29 victories. Former West Indies captain Daren Sammy occupies the fifth slot with 27 wins to his name.
