Aaron Finch on Friday, March 3 became the first batsman from Australia to scale the 100 sixes mark in T20I cricket.
Australia faced New Zealand in the fourth T20I of the five-match series at the Westpac Stadium in Wellington and won the match by 50 runs. With the series level at 2-2 with just one game to go, the visitors would like to have their captain in sublime touch.
Skipper Finch played a responsible innings against the Kiwis guiding them to a competitive total of 156 with a 26-run final over bowled by Kyle Jamieson. The Australian opener played sensibly scoring 53 runs off 49 balls till the end of the 19th over.

However, he had the green signal to play his shots in the final over with 4 wickets in hand, and he did just that. Jamieson conceded a couple of runs off the first ball. Finch then launched into the tall fast bowler and hit him for a hat-trick of sixes.
The first six among those took Aaron Finch to his 100th T20I six, thus becoming the first Australian to do so. He then finished off the innings with another six on the final ball taking his tally to 103.
The list with the players with the most sixes in T20I cricket is topped by Martin Guptill (135), Rohit Sharma (127), Eoin Morgan (113), Colin Munro (107), and Chris Gayle (105). Finch lies sixth in the list followed by Glenn Maxwell, with 93 sixes.
