West Indies captain Kieron Pollard entered into the history books by smashing Sri Lankan spinner Akila Dananjaya for six sixes in an over in the first T20I in Antigua. His IPL franchise Mumbai Indians (MI) labeled Pollard a GOAT.
In the first T20I between West Indies and Sri Lanka at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua, Sri Lanka batted first and scored 131/9 in their 20 overs. Chasing 132, the home side was sailing with 52 runs in 3.1 overs when Dananjaya picked Evin Lewis, Chris Gayle, and Nicholas Pooran to bag a ha-trick.
WI v SL 2021: Herschelle Gibbs and Yuvraj Singh welcome Kieron Pollard to six 6s club
The spinner was still letting it sink in when Kieron Pollard smashed him for six maximums in his very next over. With that effort, Pollard has now become only the third cricketer to do so in international cricket and second after Yuvraj Singh to do it in T20Is.
MI's official Twitter handle hailed the Trinidian for his achievement and called him the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time). They wrote, "6OAT. He came. He saw. He smashed! #OneFamily #MumbaiIndians @KieronPollard55"

In the same year Yuvraj hit Stuart Broad for six sixes in the ICC T20 World Cup 2007, Herschelle Gibbs had hit Netherland’s Daan van Bunge in the ICC ODI World Cup. Interestingly, Yuvraj, Gibbs, and Pollard have all played for the Mumbai Indians.
Coming back to the game where Pollard achieved this magnificent feat, West Indies went on to chase 132 in just 13.1 overs and take a 1-0 lead in the 3-match series.
