New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson is excited to play in the inaugural ICC World Test Championship final at the Lord's and said that the tournament has added context to the traditional format of the game.
Australia was scheduled to play three-match Test series against South Africa later this month, however, the ongoing COVID-19 situation in South Africa has led Australia to indefinitely postpone their away series against the hosts.
The postponement of South Africa and Australia Test series meant that Kane Williamson-led New Zealand have qualified for the final of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship with 70 percentage points.

Addressing the same the no.1 ranked Test batsman Kane Williamson was excited to play the final and said that the tournament has added context to the traditional format of the game.
“It’s exciting to play in the final of the first (World) Test Championship. Adding Test Championship has added context to Test cricket and it has been a really interesting move.
"I think we have seen that more so in recent months, where sides have made players benefit from opportunities to advance themselves into the final and that’s really exciting,” Kane Williamson told sports today.
However with New Zealand being the first team to qualify for the final of the inaugural edition of the ICC World Test Championship they are likely to play India or England, who will lock horns with each other in a four-match Test series starting 5th February.
