Jay Shah thanks PM Narendra Modi for praising Team India, says his words, a huge 'morale booster'

The Indian PM appreciated Team India for their recent performance in Australia.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, January 31, spoke about Team India's exemplary performance on their recent tour of Australia on his monthly program 'Mann ki Baat'.

He praised the Indian cricket team for bouncing back from 0-1 down in Adelaide to win the 4-match series 2-1 in Brisbane in exactly a month after the Adelaide loss.

PM Modi's message was to praise the team for a good comeback in the series showing their fighting spirit in a similar vein to the world fighting the virus COVID-19.

The official Twitter handle of the Prime Minister's Office tweeted, "इस महीने, क्रिकेट पिच से भी बहुत अच्छी खबर मिली | हमारी क्रिकेट टीम ने शुरुआती दिक्कतों के बाद, शानदार वापसी करते हुए ऑस्ट्रेलिया में सीरीज जीती | हमारे खिलाड़ियों का hard work और teamwork प्रेरित करने वाला है : PM @narendramodi #MannKiBaat"

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah responded to the tweet by saying that the words of appreciation coming from the Honourable Prime Minister of India will boost the morale and energy levels of the Indian cricket team for the future series.

He wrote, "Thank you for your encouraging words,  Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi Ji. This will boost the morale and energy level of entire Indian cricket for future challenges"
