India's wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant spoke on Thursday (January 21) about his comparisons with former India captain MS Dhoni. Pant is looked at as the successor of Dhoni and he's always compared with him.
Initially in his career, Dhoni also had a bold style of batting which Pant possesses now. Their reliance on power-hitting is another similarity that makes people compare them.
Pant is happy to be compared with the India legend, but he also wants to earn a name for himself in Indian cricket. "You feel amazing when you are compared to someone like MS Dhoni and you compare me with him," he told reporters on return from Australia.

"It's amazing but I don't want to be compared with anyone, I want to make myself a name in Indian cricket because it's not good to compare some legend with some youngster."
The 23-year-old played a couple of big knocks in the last two Test matches. His 97 at Sydney may not have produced a result, but he made sure to take India home at Gabba by remaining not-out on 89.
Talking about the historic win which also sealed the series by 2-1, Pant said the team is delighted. "I think the whole team is very happy with the way we played the series in Australia," he said.
Australia were unbeaten in Brisbane since 1988. Their last Test defeat came against West Indies. They won 24 and drawn seven matches in 31 Tests.
