ICC announces ODI team of the decade, MS Dhoni named captain, Kohli included

ICC also named David Warner and AB de Villiers in the team along with others.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma | APThe ICC has announced their ODI team of the decade which sees MS Dhoni captaining the side. He was previously named captain of the T20I team of the decade as well.

Rohit Sharma (7916 runs in 168 matches), has been chosen to open the innings with David Warner (5197 runs in 119 matches), followed by Virat Kohli (10388 runs in 208 matches), and AB de Villiers (5521 runs in 119 matches).

MS Dhoni has been named captain of the ODI team of the decade, having won the 2011 ODI World Cup, 2013 ICC Champions Trophy, and 2010 Asia Cup with the Indian team. He also made 5040 runs in 178 matches during the time period.

MS Dhoni named captain of ICC’s T20I team of the decade; 3 other Indians also included

Shakib Al Hasan and Ben Stokes (2682 runs and 70 wickets in 95 matches) were chosen as the all-rounders in the team. Imran Tahir (173 wickets in 107 matches) has been named as the specialist spinner in the team.

Mitchell Starc (179 wickets in 92 matches), Trent Boult (164 wickets in 90 matches), and Lasith Malinga (230 wickets in 151 matches) have been named as the fast bowlers of the ODI team of the decade.
