The 30-year-old missed out on the second Test against West Indies for the special moment. He had played the first match and scored 251, his third double-century in Tests.

Williamson was excited to welcome their first child and there are chances that he may also miss the upcoming games against Pakistan, due to paternity leave.

This is the first child of Williamson and his wife Sarah Raheem. “It’s a very exciting time in anybody’s life and it certainly is in mine,”  Williamson had said, as quoted by stuff.co.nz

"Overjoyed to welcome a beautiful baby girl into our family ❤️," wrote Williamson on Instagram.
