Team India’s latest ‘yorker king’ T Natarajan grabbed all the eyeballs during his debut limited-overs series against Australia and for his impressive performance with the ball, the left-arm seamer was applauded by several cricket experts across the world and now Virender Sehwag.

Natarajan is inarguably the find for Team India in this series down under and has proved to be a great asset both upfront and in the death overs during the ongoing white-ball series where he took 8 wickets.

The 29-year-old has made a meteoric rise since the last two years with Sunrisers Hyderabad and the recent stellar IPL campaign this year awarded him the best opportunity for life and he proved his worth by turning out a standout performer for India against Australia so far in his chances.

Having impressed all with his pin-point Yorkers in Australia, the Tamil Nadu cricketer is now pushing his case strong against Mohammad Shami who was struggling in the limited-overs series, for India selection.

And now former India captain Virender Sehwag backed him by picking Natarajan alongside Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar as the pace trio for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2021 in India.

Sehwag said at Sony Network’s cricket talk show: “India will have a very strong bowling lineup for the T20 World Cup if T Natarajan plays with Bumrah and Bhuvi. The T20 format is such that a bowler who gives fewer runs today, can get hit tomorrow.”

Former opener further added, “But his execution is very good, whether it is the yorker, slower one, or a length ball. Bumrah also has the same quality. He will realize after this tour, how big a change it has brought to his career. People will want to learn from him and trying to become like him.”

He also recalled his conversation with Natarajan after Murali Vijay had recommended him to sign the seamer for Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the IPL 2017.

Sehwag signed off by saying, “He had told me that his dream was also to play for India but he didn’t feel that he would be able to play in the IPL or for India.”
