ACB wrote, "Afghanistan will host @Irelandcricket for a three-match ODI series in January 2021. The matches which are scheduled to be held on 18th, 21st and 23rd January respectively, are part of the ODI Super League for the 2023 ICC World Cup."

Afghanistan has faced Ireland in 27 ODI matches so far and has won 13 of them. They also have lost 13 while the remaining one game could not produce a result. They will be excited to host their rivals at home and would like to edge forward in the head to head battles.

In other news regarding the progress of the game in Afghanistan, ACB has contracted 25 women cricketers and is keen on building a strong Afghanistan Women's Cricket Team.
