Team India will leave for Australia next month | GettyIndian cricketers are expected to travel Down Under just a couple of days after the IPL 2020 ends on November 10 in UAE.

With less than a month to go, Cricket Australia (CA) are still negotiating with Queensland health officials over the quarantining of Indian team ahead of their marquee Test series.

As per a report published in Reuters, Team India are scheduled to quarantine in Brisbane and play six white-ball fixtures in Queensland in late November and early December before moving on to Adelaide for the first of four Tests.

Apart from the Indian team, many of the Australian cricketers will also be coming from UAE after the culmination of IPL 2020, but CA have not yet had their plans approved by Queensland's health department.

According to Reuters, CA said they held a "productive" meeting with Queensland Health on Monday (October 19) and were confident of hosting "a full schedule of matches" against India.

"This is an extremely detailed and complex plan that places the health and safety of the community, players and staff as paramount and there is clarification required in order to finalise arrangements," Cricket Australia quoted as saying by Reuters. "We would like to thank our friends at the BCCI for their patience and understanding as we work towards a swift and successful outcome."

If CA don’t get approval from Queensland's health department, they might soon have to consider other options to ensure the lucrative series takes place.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Sydney Cricket Ground Trust, Tony Shepherd, has expressed interest in helping the cricket board.

"We've got ground availability, we've got the processes and we can certainly manage the biosecurity. We'd certainly be a very willing substitute," Shepherd told the Sydney Morning Herald on Tuesday. "We'd be interested in helping cricket in any way we could."
