Australia pacer Mitchell Starc gave England's Adil Rashid a warning for leaving the crease before he bowled the ball. He told him to get back in his crease instead of running him out at the non-striker’s end in the 49th over of England's innings in the 3rd ODI.

As soon as the incident happened, R Ashwin started trending on Twitter. A Twitter user tagged Ashwin and told him to learn from Starc and play the game like this. Ever since Ashwin has mankaded Jos Buttler in IPL 2019, the India off-spinner is often dragged into the mankading discussion as if he has become the face of this method of dismissal.

Ashwin reacted to the post and said he would come up with a response for him after a day. "I believe in fighting the good fight but wait till the day after and I will get back to you on this. I would like to give a day to myself", he wrote.

Talking about the match, Australia won the contest by 3 wickets and also secured the three-match series. Glenn Maxwell (108) and Alex Carey (104) saved Australia by putting up a 212-run partnership for the sixth wicket and chased down 303 runs.
