England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Friday (July 24) released five players from the bio-secure bubble at Emirates Old Trafford after they missed out on selection for the third and final Test against the West Indies.
After picking their XI for the series-decider, England has kept six back-ups at Emirates Old Trafford in the event of concussion or COVID-19 substitutions being required and they are James Bracey, Zak Crawley, Sam Curran, Ben Foakes, Jack Leach and Mark Wood.

The ECB has stated that Joe Denly – who was dropped after the first West Indies Test following the return of captain Joe Root from paternity leave, will now join the white-ball training group down at the Ageas Bowl ahead of the upcoming three-match ODI series against Ireland starting on July 30 at Southampton.
While the other four – Dan Lawrence, Craig Overton, Ollie Robinson, and Olly Stone have returned to their counties, announced the ECB on Saturday.

The ECB stated: “While Denly will join up with the England camp at the Ageas Bowl on Monday ahead of the Royal London ODI Series, the other four players will be available for their counties in the build-up to the start of English domestic season, which starts with the Bob Willis Trophy on 1 August.”
Following the Ireland series, England is set for another big series against Pakistan comprising three Tests and as many as T20Is starting from August 5.
