Taking a dig at his some of past teammates, former Pakistan cricketer Mudassar Nazar said some Pakistani players from the 90s would have been at each other's throats and fighting each other if they were kept in “restrictive” quarantine in that the current side is England presently.
At the moment, the Pakistan cricket team is training in a 'bio-secure' bubble in England ahead of their bilateral series and Nazar claimed he had been told about players being bored and fatigued in England’s bio-bubble due to the COVID-19 restrictions to combat the coronavirus threat.

With the first Test starts on August 5, former head of the Pakistan Cricket Board's national academy said the current conditions are not good for playing cricket during the pandemic time.
Nazar told a Pakistani news channel on Thursday (July 230: “I don't think such an environment is ideal for cricket. From what I have heard the players in England are bored and fatigued because of the COVID-19 restrictions and environment.”
The 64-year-old, who played 76 Tests and 122 ODIs, further added, “I just wonder what would have happened if teams of the past like in the '90s had to remain together in such COVID conditions. I guess some players would have been fighting and would be at each other's throats by now.”
Meanwhile, the former all-rounder also feels the current circumstances and biosecure environment due to the COVID-19 pandemic could have a negative impact on professional cricketers.
He further noted, “I have been told our players presently in training in England have become bored with the whole restrictions, etc. It might have an effect on their performances in the coming series because it is never easy to play in England. If I had been in such a place, I would have been very bored. It is difficult to play in these situations.”
Nazar was not also happy with Mohammad Amir’s inclusion for the England T20Is after the pacer initially pulled out of the UK tour due to the birth of his child. He signed off by saying, “In the past, this was a player reluctant to play in one format for his country and now that he is available he is immediately called up to the team. That is something that does not sit well with me.”
