Cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra made a video on 'nepotism in Indian cricket' amid a lot of outrage over the same in Bollywood. Social media is angered over Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death and they claim the outsiders aren't treated well in the industry.

Is there any such case in cricket? Chopra gave his opinion on the matter. Usually, there are a lot of times when fingers have been pointed at Sachin Tendulkar for helping out his son Arjun Tendulkar. But all such criticism is pointless.

"You can say the same thing about Arjun Tendulkar. Because he is Tendulkar's son, nothing was given to him on a platter. He didn't get an easy access to the Indian cricket team. There were no such useless selections even in the India under-19 team. Whenever the selection happens, it would be because of a sterling performance," Chopra said.

Arjun has been a net bowler for England cricket team and he often travels to London for practice sessions. He has played for Mumbai's junior team but hasn't represented the Ranji team yet.

Chopra also talked about Rohan Gavaskar, son of another legendary India cricketer Sunil Gavaskar. Rohan did make debut for India and was able to represent Bengal for almost 13 years.

"No mate! If you see the bigger picture, Sunil Gavaskar's son was Rohan Gavaskar. Just because he was Sunil Gavaskar's son he should have played a lot of cricket, many ODIs and Test matches. But that did not happen.

"And when he played for India, it was because he was consistently doing very well for Bengal. In fact, forget all that, he was even not playing his son in the Mumbai Ranji team. He was not getting a place in the Mumbai team even though he had the surname as Gavaskar," Chopra said.
