Yuvraj Singh has found himself in hot soup after a Dalit rights activist and advocate filed a police case against the former all-rounder for his disparaging remarks on Yuzvendra Chahal during his live chat with Rohit Sharma recently.

During the said chat, Yuvraj called Chahal ‘Bhangi’ and it incensed a Dalit rights activist and advocate Rajat Kalsan. He has now lodged a complaint against Yuvraj in Hansi in Hisar as reported by Zee News.

‘Yuvraj Singh apologize’ had trended in Hindi on Twitter after his remarks went viral, given that the word he used is casteist. Several tweets surfaced against the cricketer asking him to apologize.

After lodging the complaint, Kalsan targeted Rohit Sharma as well and said that he did not express his displeasure over Yuvraj's comment. Kalsan also demanded the arrest of the cricketer.

Kalsan said that he registered the case and has demanded the arrest of Yuvraj Singh. He also said that CDs and documents will also be handed over to the police.

Hansi SP Lokendra Singh has said that he has submitted the investigation to DSP. He also revealed that all aspects will be investigated and action will be taken after the investigation happens. If found guilty, Singh could face issues but for now, the police will handle the matter.

Yuvraj Singh retired in 2019 after featuring in 304 ODIs, 40 Tests and 58 T20I matches in a career spanning 17 years. He last played for India in 2017 and was the Player of the Tournament when India won the 2011 World Cup at home.
