"No animal deserves to be treated with cruelty", says Rohit Sharma on the death of pregnant elephant in Kerala

A piece of very shocking news from Kerala left everyone dismayed on Wednesday. It was another incident that left people questioning humanity. A wild elephant was fed crackers by some locals which became the reason for its death.

As per reports, the Elephant had left the forests of Silent Valley in Palakkad district in search of food. She ate cracker-filled pineapple, allegedly left by locals after reaching a nearby village. The elephant didn't harm a single human being, an official said.

India cricketer Rohit Sharma showed his concern over the incident. He said no animal deserves treatment like this. Taking Twitter, he wrote, "We are savages. Are we not learning? To hear what happened to the elephant in Kerala was heartbreaking. No animal deserves to be treated with cruelty."

Rohit has always been vocal about animal cruelty. He is also part of a campaign to save Rhinos.
