David Hussey and Chris Lynn send their prayers for victims of Cyclone Amphan in Kolkata

Hussey and Lynn are part of the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise.

Destruction caused by Cyclone Amphan in Kolkata

Chief mentor of Kolkata Knight Riders David Hussey sent his prayers to Kolkata after the city suffered because of cyclone Amphan. The destruction lasted for nine hours which affected West Bengal and Odisha the most.

As per reports, the death toll is 80 currently and this is said to be the most damaging cyclone to hit Bengal in 100 years.

"My thoughts and prayers are with all the people in #Kolkata who have and are suffering from the devastating weather. Sending much love," Hussey tweeted on Friday.

Chris Lynn, another Australia cricketer who was part of the KKR franchise, posted a tweet for the victims of Amphan. "Thoughts and Prayers to everyone in Kolkata and surrounding cities! Hang strong," he wrote.

Workers have started to clear roads as many areas are blocked after trees fell on the way. Thousands of people are left homeless and the whole city is in shock. West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee said she has never seen anything like this in her life.
