Pakistan speedster Mohammad Amir and Hasan Ali decided to leave the WhatsApp group created by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for players. They were not given the central contracts for the 2020-21 season and the incident happened after the announcement.

As per reports of CricketPakistan.com.pk, a team's source said things like this have happened in the past too and it's not something unusual. The group is set up by PCB for issues and recommendations related to fitness.

Wahab Riaz is also someone who couldn't get a central contract by PCB, but the pacer hasn't left the group.

PCB's central contract for men's cricketers will come into effect from July 1. A list of 18 players was announced by the board last week and two new cricketers, Naseem Shah and Iftikhar Ahmad got an entry in the list.

The trio, Amir, Ali, and Wahab will get equal attention from the board, and axing them out from the contract won't affect their contention for selection.

Hasan Ali hasn't featured in the Pakistan team for over a year. He last played an ODI against India at Manchester back in 2019. Even in T20I, the 25-year-old hasn't made it into the team since England tour in May last year.
