One of the best wishes, the hit-man got was from his captain Virat Kohli who took to Twitter and said, “Happy B'day Rohit @ImRo45. God bless you with good health and happiness and many more elegant innings. Stay safe stay healthy.

The Mumbaikar is the only batsman in ODI history with 3 double-centuries to his name and holds the record for the highest individual score in the format-264, which came against Sri Lanka in 2014. He also hit two centuries in his first two Tests and has hit two centuries in the same Test in his first Test as an opener.

Apart from this, he hit five centuries, a world record in the ICC World Cup 2019, and has four centuries to his name in T20I format, the most by any batsman in the world.

In IPL, he is amongst the five highest run-getters of all time and has won five IPL titles, one with Deccan Chargers in 2009 and four as captain of Mumbai Indians in 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2019. He was supposed to defend his IPL title with Mumbai Indians in IPL 2020 before the tournament was suspended indefinitely by BCCI due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
