West Indian all-rounder Dwayne Bravo and India’s legendary captain MS Dhoni is known to be good friends and enjoy a special camaraderie, thanks to both playing for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
As Bravo shares a great relationship with Dhoni, the swashbuckling all-rounder wants to give special tribute to his CSK captain, as Indian wicket-keeper is in the twilight of his international career having last played for the country in 2019 World Cup.

Last week, Bravo gave fans a glimpse of his song titled No. 7 which was shared by the IPL side on their Twitter handle – in which the all-rounder can be seen singing: “MS Dhoni. MS Dhoni, No. 7. MS Dhoni, No. 7. All of Ranchi, shouting Dhoni. All of India, shouting Mahi. All of Chennai, shouting Thala. MS Dhoni is a world-beater.” Though, there wasn’t mentioned anything about any tribute.
Well, during 'Cricbuzz in Conversation with Dwayne Bravo' chat show, the all-rounder has revealed that he is working on a musical “tribute” for CSK 'Thala' and India’s World Cup-winning captain – Dhoni.
Bravo told Harsha Bhogle, “The Mahi song... I haven't completed the entire track as yet. I still want to work on the music and some other lyrics I want to put in there. I was thinking...there is not anyone who has done a song as a tribute to one particular athlete. I was coming up with ideas.”

He continued, “I want to do something for him. He is coming to the end of his career. He had a great career. He had a great impact on my personal career and also so many other cricketers.
You listen to interviews from other cricketers like Rohit Sharma, Hardik (Pandya) and even Virat (Kohli), they all praise him where their careers are concerned. He gave so many cricketers opportunities. He also won titles for the country. I wanted to do something special for him. I named the song No. 7. It's his number. It's a special number for him.”
Meanwhile, Bravo, who joined CSK 2011, said Dhoni's trust in him helped him develop as a player at a crucial juncture of his career, “I've asked myself many times, why someone like MS has so much faith in me. My own board and selectors don't have the same faith.”
He signed off, “But Mahi respects my talent and the way I play the game. That means a lot to me because this is arguably the greatest captain in the world and he has so much faith.”
