Shane Warne has rated Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara as the greatest batsmen of his era.
Australia is among the countries that are currently under lockdown due to the Coronavirus epidemic. Celebrities are engaging with their fans either through Q&A sessions or by going live on Instagram. Former Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne chose to go with the second option as he answered questions from fans.
Warne said, “There were these two guys, then there was daylight and after that the rest of the batsmen came.”

He considered Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar and West Indian legend Brian Lara as the best batsmen of his era but picked the former as an all-conditions player. However, he would go with Lara if the only option left was to play aggressive and chase down 400 runs in a day.
“If I have to choose any batsman to bat in any conditions, it is a real toss-up between Tendulkar and Lara, but I would just choose Tendulkar. If we have to chase 400 runs on the last day, I would definitely pick Lara,“ Warne added.
Sachin Tendulkar scored the most number of runs in international cricket (34357) and dominated some of the world’s best bowlers who played during his 24-year-long career. Warne had also revealed that he got nightmares of Tendulkar hitting him out of the park.
On the other hand, Brian Lara also dominated some brilliant bowlers but had only one way of doing that, attack. Lara ended up with 22358 runs in his international career.
