Former West Indies captain Clive Lloyd, widely acknowledged as one of the greatest captains the world of cricket has ever seen under whom West Indies dominated the international cricket is all set to receive knighthood.
Official Twitter handle of Cricket West Indies congratulated the 75-year-old for receiving knighthood. “Congratulations to West Indies Great Clive Lloyd who is set to receive a Knighthood in the New Year for his outstanding service to Cricket,” the Tweet read.

The left-handed batsman who led West Indies from 1974 until 1985 and represented them in 110 Test matches has 7515 runs to his name at a superb average 46.68 with 19 centuries and a double century to go with 39 half-centuries.
Clive Lloyd also played 87 ODIs and managed to score 1977 runs at 39.54 with 1 century and 11 half-centuries. He led West Indies to World Cup glory in 1975 and 1979.
Along with the former West Indies skipper, four of England's World Cup-winning men, as well as the coach, will be honoured for their services to cricket.
