Former India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is trying to locate the Taj Hotel staffer who suggested a change in his elbow guard during a Test series which helped the cricketer. He was looking for the waiter whom he met at Taj Coromandel in Chennai.

Sachin posted a tweet last Saturday with a video and wrote, "A chance encounter can be memorable! I had met a staffer at Taj Coromandel, Chennai during a Test series with whom I discussed my elbow guard, after which I redesigned it. I wonder where he is now & wishes to catch up with him. Hey netizens, can you help me find him?"

Taj's official Twitter handle responded to the tweet with good news. They tracked down their staff who met Sachin during his stay back then. Taj said they would be happy to host them together.

"Thank you, Mr. Tendulkar, for sharing your memorable encounter with our colleague during your stay in Chennai. We are proud of our associates who have imbibed the culture of Tajness. We have located him and would be delighted to connect the two of you for a meeting.", responded Taj Hotels.

The guy is Guruprasad from Chennai. He got to know that Sachin wants to meet him which made the fan happy. "Fans are interested to meet such a great person and here, such a great master is willing to meet me. It is very exciting. The place where I live, people and my friends here are more excited and want to meet Sachin. So, I request Sachin to meet me personally and spend time with my family,"  he told ANI.

“I don't place Virat Kohli in same class as Sachin Tendulkar,” says Abdul Razzaq

Guruprasad wasn't waiter but worked as a security guard at the Taj Hotel. "During that period, I was working as a security guard. Sachin was just coming out of his room and near the lift, I met him and I got an autograph. After that, I had a suggestion for him and it was in my mind for many months. Sachin was getting out because of his arm-guard," he said.

"...When you watch Sachin closely, he uses his wrist in such a way that is very important for him. When you face fast bowlers, they attack a particular point and if you are not placing the guard correctly, the timing and all will get wrong. He asked me how you know this thing and I said I was just watching you on the television and I feel that the guard is affecting the full movement," he added.

In the video, where Sachin talked about the meeting, he revealed, "I (the waiter) noticed that whenever you (Sachin) wear an arm-guard, your bat swing changes. He said he was a huge fan and used to watch every ball rewinding the action 5-7 times.

"I said, yes! You are the only person in the world who figured that out. You won't believe that I actually came back to my room from the ground and carried my elbow guard and redesigned it: the correct size, the right amount of padding, where the straps should be and all that."
