Indian batsman and Karnataka domestic captain Manish Pandey finally got hitched a day after winning the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy 2019 for his state side, defeating Tamil Nadu by 1 run. He got married to South Indian actress Ashrita Shetty.
The 30 year-old-cricketer married the 26-year-old actress in a glittering ceremony in Mumbai on Monday (December 2). The actress is known for her work in Tamil movies like Udhayam NH4 alongside Siddharth and also featured in Oru Kanniyum Moonu Kalavanigalum and Indrajith among other films.
Meanwhile, Pandey was the first Indian to score a century in IPL back in 2009 and was part of the 2008 U19 World Cup-winning team. Since then, he has played 23 ODIs and 32 T20I matches for India scoring 1027 runs with 1 century and 4 half-centuries since making his debut in 2015.
Pandey got wishes from everywhere on Twitter which included Indian captain Virat Kohli, who tweeted, “Congratulations Pandey ji. Wish you both a lifetime of beautiful moments and happiness. God bless you both ???? ???? @im_manishpandey”
Meanwhile, Indian limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma also wished the newly married on Twitter, writing, “Rohit Sharma @ImRo45 Wish you both all the happiness in the world. Trust me this will be your best innings ???? @im_manishpandey”
