Also in the draft, left-arm fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman was taken by Rangpur Rangers whereas Rajshahi Royals got the mighty talented Liton Das. Going by its new name this season, the Cumilla Warriors franchise brought in Soumya Sarkar and Sylhet Thunders picked Mohammad Mithun.

These were major signings from the A category of players.

Banned for failing to report corrupt approaches, star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan wasn't available to be picked in the draft.

Among overseas players,  Rilee Rossouw, last season's highest run-getter, went to Khulna while the amazing Chris Gayle will now feature in Chattogram's line-up. All-rounder Mohammad Nabi and batsman Shai Hope were grabbed by Rangpur, Sylhet got the big-hitting West Indies batsman Sherfane Rutherford, Rajshahi signed up Afghanistan opener Hazratullah Zazai and power-hitters Kusal Perera and Dawid Malan were picked by Cumilla.

The teams have also brought in new coaches with Ottis Gibson joining Cumilla, Grant Flower taking up the job with Rangpur, Kabir Ali and Owais Shah with Chattogram and Rajshahi, respectively, while Khaled Mahmud is likely to sign for the Khulna side.

Interestingly, no franchise has yet unveiled its captains for the season.
