IND v BAN 2019: Irfan Pathan questions Ravindra Jadeja's exclusion from T20I squad for Bangladesh series

Pathan posted a tweet expressing his disagreement over the decision.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh. Rohit Sharma will lead the side with some new faces added. Kerala wicketkeeper Sanju Samson has been included in the squad, along with Shivam Dube who got his maiden call.

India's leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal found his place back into the shorter format, like Shardul Thakur who replaced Navdeep Saini.

India pacer Irfan Pathan looked a little disappointed with the team selection. According to the cricketer-turned-commentator, India should have featured Ravindra Jadeja in the side. Jadeja is often criticized for his lack of contributions with the bat in white-ball cricket, but Pathan thinks he has improved lately and deserved an opportunity.

"Who else is surprise not to see @imjadeja in the t 20 vs Bangladesh ? He is batting the tallest in his career at the moment.", asked Pathan on Twitter.

Pathan's tweet did make the fans think about it. Jadeja has got the hitting ability, and with his touchback in the last few series, he could have done well. This also raises a question if team selectors are looking at Jadeja a part of their T20 World Cup plan or not?
