Legendary Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi has always been vocal with his opinions both on and off-field, whether be it the Kashmir issue or matter relates to cricket.

On Thursday (September 19), Afridi conducted a candid question and answer (Q&A) session with his fans on the social media platform Twitter.

During the #AskLala session on Twitter, former Pakistan skipper was asked to pick his favorite batsmen among the current cricketers in the world of cricket and India captain Virat Kohli is leading the chart of his top four batsmen. However, this was not much surprise as Afridi has often seen praising the extraordinary cricketing ability of India's batting mainstay.

Along with the stylish right-hander, the legendary all-rounder also picked Pakistan’s swashbuckling batsman Babar Azam, England Test captain Joe Root and Australia’s batting superstar Steve Smith as his favorite batsmen of the contemporary world cricket.

However, some fans have questioned Afridi's top four selection, as some of them believe that New Zealand captain Kane Williamson should've been on the list.

Among the four, Smith and Kohli are making headlines with their superlative shown on the field, particularly former Australia skipper is in great form with the bat having slammed 774 runs at an average of 110 in only four Tests in the recent Ashes 2019 in England.

On the other hand, Kohli is also continued to be the best as he recently hit an unbeaten 72 in a T20I against South Africa to become the only batsman to have his batting average above 50 in all three formats of the game and Afridi had also showered praise on him for his latest feat.
